Re: inverter,inverter/charger
I have had a Xantrex Truecharger for 13 years. My boat stays plugged in, in the water year around. My first set of batteries put in when I got the charger were Exide Orbital AGM batteries that lasted 12 years. I changed them last fall before Hurricane Sandy as a precaution. They still have life left in them. It is a great charger, but is not made for wet locations. Place it carefully and you will be very happy.

Re: inverter,inverter/charger
I echo the Xantrex recommendation.. I had an issue with their remote panel and new charger I bought two years ago, and complained to one of their tech reps.. after verifying my complaint with these products in their labs they volunteered to replace my charger and remote panel with a new (current model) set. No hassle, and they followed through as agreed. Great customer relations!
