Damn Brew, wish my skiff project was finished... Or Kevin had his act together and had his nice B28 back in the drink with a purrrty new white bottom.

Maybe we all need to take the Poppy B on a test run..?..

Let's do it! Why don't we get all together and fish on the Popster that first week of April?

Yeah, no way my pig will be done. Glass guy did not show up this week. Not all that surprised to be honest.
I think a get together would be fun. I am down for whatever. I can't tie knots in fishing line but I sure can help with opening bottles and cans.

Hey Kevin!

Good to hear from you, love to have you come with us, although you're used to four-outboard Midnight Express boats that cruise at 50 these days. You might have to adjust to the sedate side of life! Look forward to fishing with all of you, let's discuss dates.

I am flexible with dates. Weekends are best for me right now but I can make anything happen. Maybe we could all do dinner one night at my house and drink adult beverages by the fire.
If we were subjects of John's show.............that would just be funny. You could call it Three Stooges Part 2.

Nice, the power of suggestion...I would be very interested in getting together and meeting everyone and getting into some offshore action on the Poppy, would be an honor.

Would also be thrilled to pole you around for a few hours, or days, Brew. I know my way around a flats skiff pretty darn good. I haven't ever fished the flats down that way, been too busy doing it up here. and I know there are some incredible areas and very fishy flats. You bringing the Dolphin down?

I'm not sure what my schedule is on the homefront, but I'd be very willing to skip out of work for a few days and get my head right with a few days of meeting quality folks, vitamin D exposure, screaming drags, 12oz curls, double haulin' at forked tails, the whole deal. Sounds like therapy... been too much working on boats and not nearly enough enjoying them lately.

Guys,

Unfortunately I won't be able to get you out on the Poppy B, we are having to replace the port aftercooler and that engine is currently disassembled. Sorry about that, maybe meet for a drink this week?

If you guys are up for it and want to meet in the middle let me know. My ride is still out of service but who can resist a canal ride in a J16 with adirondack chairs!

That's a bum deal John... Just when you list her the repairs start. I'm game for a trip on the big daddy bay boat anytime. 305-394-2842- Mark

Kevin- don't underestimate the J16... My friend and I just spent 5 hours on Saturday converting a dilapidated J16 into a super skinny draft microskiff complete with poling and casting platform. Hits a eye watering 16mph with both of us in it and a 15yammie 4stroke tiller.... draws about 5" with both onboard- first trip out we beat up the reds with the flyrod pretty good. A poor mans flats skiff for sure, but it does many aspects of flats fishing better than a $40,000 Hells Bay... other aspects- not so much. Notice how skinny the water is on the redfish pic...

Driving south to meet with Brew tomorrow and chuck feathers at shiny things... watch out shiny things
