Use a heated up puddy knife or a long flat blade knife, it will cut thru the 5200. Some people think that things never break, I guess you can't fix stupid.

That would be great, don't over look the Morehead city area.We have a inlet dredged to 45 ft. and a lot of good fishing...Russ

Back when I was 16 and worked at the local boatyard during the summers we used to use plain old stainless steel flatware dinner knives to remove the windows from Columbia sailboats. They had a flat plexi cabin window that was screwed to the side of the cabin in bedding and always leaked. You would use two knives in tandem sticking one in beside the other and continuing around the window until it was free. If you were lucky they were set in silicone. If they were in 5200 they were much harder to get off and would peel the gelcoat off if you weren't careful.

The knives were stiffer than putty knives and were narrow enough that you could push them through under the compound without too much force. I think we soaked them and the compound in alcohol as the process went on! It was frustrating enough to make you want to drink alcohol!
