Fiberglass exhaust fittings

On exhaust is it ok to use a "T" instead of a "Y". Or is the the turn too abrupt? And if custom fittings are made do you just cut a straight piece and glass it together at needed angle?
As far as genset exhaust or raw water intake, tieing into engine exhaust or intake, bad idea??

Matt, I found out early in this project that off the shelf parts rarely fit. I took a straight pipe and made my own Y/surge tube, use polyester not epoxy. Tieing the genny exhaust into the main pipe should only be done at the very end near transom with a separate pipe glassed to the inside of the main exhaust. I went with separate exhuast for each to prevent any surge from getting into genny. BH

Matt, The generator has to have its own water intake thru hull fitting......its not good to "Tee" off of the engines or any thing else.

I have plenty of hose, maybe dont need to go too crazy with fittingss, but i have some straight tube. I will get to work. As always Capt. Beautiful work
