Rod Holder size

Post by sash »

Gents, I need to upgrade and add two additional flush mount rod holders to my boat.
Would anyone know what the original rod holder pipe dimentions that Bertram installed on the B-31's?
I am looking to install 4- 30 deg and 2-15 deg either Pompanette, Lee or Rupp

My choices are 2", 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" the majority of my fishing will be Mahi, Wahoo and sails. One trip per year to the Bahamas for....Thanks Steve

Sash,
Go with the large Lee's with the solid rivot style cross pin, if your going after the big fish get the striking gimble style for the two rear side holders. I've used the large Lee's 30 degree for over 30 years, 10 of which were fishing for giant blue fin with bent butt 130's never had a problem with the Lee's holders. E-tech makes a nice 30 degree holder as does Murray Brothers in West Palm. Perko holders are the worst on the market as far as I'm concerned.
