my first bertram at last!!!!

Post by Todd Pearce »

sorry to the faithful that its not a B31,but family size dictates we need a bigger boat, firstly to all those who helped me along the way ,with great advice and knowledge,my deepest thanks, you are a wonderful group and i feel lucky to have had your help and support,so I purchased a Bertram 42,and i can say I`am very much looking forward to it arriving in New Zealand in the coming months, just in time for summer,My hart is really in a 31,but that will have to wait awhile ,again thanks to all
Cheers Todd

I'd pick a 42 over the RLDT anyday.

Preston, thanks for the feed back,I`ve been looking at b37`s but I`ve got three kids and family who love to boat,so recently I came to think about a b42 instead as we can remove the forward double bunk and replace with 3 maybe 4 bunks and the boat would suit us down to a tee,mix in a big galley to feed the hoards and its a great result. I looked around a bit, had one surveyed,it failed on a lot of levels, nothing major just to much of a project for me,then found this boat in Alabama, had it surveyed and now shes all mine, build in 1986 twin 6v92s,465hp ,has full tower ,,amazing how well she surveyed, everything worked,no blisters,no soft decks, no rot ,can`t wait to get her ,First i have to get her fully serviced then find a captain to drive her to FL,not a short trip!! So any thoughts or info would be great Cheers Todd
