Hudson Canyon Tuna

Post by SimpleGesture »

Ran to the Hudson Canyon friday into saturday on my dads 31 Bertram, Happy Time. Just before sunset we went 1 for 2 on big eyes had 4 hit the spread, 2 came tight. The big eye dressed at 200 lbs. Caught the fish at the 100 square. There were five boats at the square and all boats were hooked up with big eyes. Not much life at night, but at 2 am we caught a sword fish, dressed at 118 lbs. Then on the troll in the morning we had 4 long fins and a nice yellowfin around 60 lbs.

I'm the one in the camouflaged blue and white pelagic shorts standing on the gunnel of the boat. I also own a 25 Bertram. My dad's up front right next to the big eye.

Hey Russ-

Top is unbelievable. Have received many compliments this year since adding it to the boat. Thanks again. The lights on it are perfect for the night fishing, lights up all around the boat. Brings the bait right in.

Here are a few pics:
