Fishtails

Post by Bob H. »

Just got back from a two day canyon trip to fishtails...had a blast fished with a great group, Eliot, Casey, Doc, Billy n lil Billy, caught 7 albies to 50lbs, 1 3/4 yellowfin to 95lbs, the 3/4 resulted from a very hungry mako chomping off the running gear of our first yellow. Had 5 albies on at once landed 4, lil billy is only 7 and let me tell you he LOVES to fish, last picture says it all...landed the mahi all on his own...Doc laded the big yellow on a shimano stella, VERY impressed with this reel, smooth as silk and built to whip these big fish in short order...

ps. lost a few pms in my mailbox during the site transfer, couple brothers asked about the extra set of riggers I have. Please resend I got the measurements for ya...

Nice report!
I notice you have safetly lines on the rods, great idea, I'd like to do that as well, better than losing a rod overboard.
Looks like a beautiful day out there.
