My friend is getting ready to install teak covering boards and is looking for some guidence.
Best glue --not planning on using any screws
For joints---best way to splice
Any other tips to prevent cracking and curling

Re: TEAK COVERING BOARDS
We edge glued the covering boards and cut them to a door skin template, we leveled off the old side decking with a thicken vermiculite /epoxy concoction basedon capt Parts post, clamped them in place with NO fasteners ,not even from the underside, and we were done, u will be able to sand these decks for years and never encounter a fastner either from the topside or underneath, this is the way the custom guys in the Carolina's ,Stuart fl , Rybovich , Merritt do there covering boards/transoms /desks/cockpits with teak

Re: TEAK COVERING BOARDS
No, washed the surface with alcohol, applied epoxy on both pieces, clamped and cut the next day, again, we glued to a flattened surface made ready for the teak
Re: TEAK COVERING BOARDS
I cut two boards to be joined on table saw thus making a saw blade slot then used a teak spline the entire length all put together with epoxy.
