Help finding some batteries

Post by Bruce »

Need to find 8D deep cycle Dekka "DRY" batteries in the Philadelphia, Bucks County area of PA or in Jersey Berlin, Atlantic City.

All I can find up that way over the phone is pre charged.

Need em up there for a project I'm doing end of the month.

Anybody know where to get some or order in that area?

Tried East Penn Pat but they haven't got back to me yet. Will prolly refer me to a dealer and the dealers I so far tried says everything comes in wet.

Guess I'll try a special order if East Penn gets back to me.

Talked to east Penn. No more dry 8Ds go out.

Okay at this point does anyone know of a lead acid 8D battery maker that ships dry?

"If it fits, it ships"

Last night I was getting Kona's dog food -- 60lb bonus bag. The little barbie behind the counter looks at me and says "sir, would you like help taking it out of the shopping cart?"

I picked it up with on hand and held it in front of her with one hand while she scaned it. "nope, I'm good."

The bag was bigger than her and my black lab is smarter!

Bruce,
An alternative way of getting those batteries up to PA might be a boat hauling company or a car delivery trucker.
Check with Barney at Skipper Shipper in Jensen Beach the office # 772-225-1279, he has brought different items North for me at reasonable prices (teak boards, fighting chairs etc.). Christa will answer the office phone, if no answer call Barney's cell direct 772-285-2432. He's got trucks going up and down the East coast every week. Was John Surette's grandson still running Rolls Battery in Ft Lauderdale?, they have to be the best made batteries I've ever used.
