2012 Northeast Bertram Rendezvous update #1
Good Afternoon!
I just spoke with Seaport Marine in Mystic. They have been informed that they are the chosen venue, and are very excited to have us.
If you are interested in coming, Please call 860-536-9651 and ask for Abby. She will take care of you, answer questions, and generally guide you if you need it. Her family owns the facility so, she is quite capable.
Pricing is as follows for your slip:
$2.75 for your first night
$2.25 for your second night
$1.50 for your third if you stay longer than 2 nights.
Pretty good pricing!
As for dinner, I have a good host, who I will be contacting during the next couple days, in Fords Lobsters, in Noank. Chris and I have known each other for years, so I am confident this will be doable as well. I need to continue to gather pricing for that as well, and hope to have it soon.
For your hotel reservations, there are many options should you choose to google Mystic, CT hotels. Abby can guide you towards hotels that are close. I strongly recommend you make your hotel reservations sooner rather than later, as Mystic is a popular summer destination that hosts a fair amount of casino traffic for Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. What I'm trying to say is make your lodging reservations NOW!!!!!!!!
However, please don't hesitate to make your reservations with Abby at Seaport Marine either!

For anyone making an extended stay the Ocean House in Watch Hill is an absolutely fabulous hotel. Long drive to mystic and real pricy. Not convenient during the rendezvous but if you plan on staying in the area and have money burning a hole in your pocket it's top notch.

Given that this is my neck of the woods - if anyone has any questions and you can't get ahold of Dug -- please feel free to call me 860 218-3822. I don't claim any local knowledge of that River though -- but fishing spots, dinner or drinking spots, hookers, crack dealers, and bail bondsmen I can help you out with.
