Polymer sealant removal

I remember reading somewhere here, a search turned up nill, that to remove the polymer clear coats or waxes that ammonia is used.
Do I remember correctly?

Bruce - yes. The Poly-Glow lit says to use ammonia to remove it, and ammonia will eat any way too.
