B20 Sportsman

Post by Michael »

Thought I would show you pictures of the B20 Sportman center console.
Sorry the pictures are not great but currently it is work in progress. The first 4 pictures of the navy blue one are mine. And to show you Bertrams run in the family, the white one is my brothers and has a D3 for power.

Michael, I like the name on your sportsman...
Very fitting considering how you told me she used to run.

Looks like your brudda's is squatin' a little at the stern.
Is that bottom paint water line from the prior power? Or is the D3 doing that?

Congrats on the 31... You're a hardtop kinda guy. That aftermarket bridge is the only one I've seen on a B31 that hasn't made me cringe. It aint too bad. Would be nice to do the hardtop/marlin tower like Dug brought up... just mo-money.
I don't know what the world may want,
But a good stiff drink it surely dont,
Think I'll go and fix myself...a tall one.

The D3 is a very light package.

No way that she squats like that because of the engine.

Either she had something big and heavy in there at one time or she is
complete water logged.

Probably rides nice!

I wish I had a D3 for my Bahia.

Ian.

Buju,
Yes, Loose Cannon used to have a 320hp PCM engine and volvo duoprop. Would get up to 56knots plus. Prety quick but a handful as not much boat in the water.
Ian,
Yes my bro's boat used to have a V6 in it which was way heavier than the D3, so the water line is too high. He plans to remove the bottom paint and fix that in due course. D3 is nice when they work, but they are a little too sensitive to me. Damn computer seems to always find something wrong and shut you down. But they are quiet and very fuel efficient
