2001 Ft lauderdale ?

Post by Capt. DQ »

Capt. Patrick,

Help me out if can please. I did a search but could not find the pictures of everybody that was posted from Lauderdale 2001 when we met with Norberto and got our picture taken as group with him.

Then also the picture of the group when we got our books sign, (The Legend of Bertram) Do those pictures still exist or does somebody have copies to where I could get them email to me?

Capt. DQ,

That was a great weekend for sure; but was it really 2001? I helped off-load that fuel tank from Capt. Pat's truck and onto yours at the Flophouse. Was it really 10 years ago?

Tommy,

Don't think the tank was during that same show, but it was in the same file of pics. Just figured that Doug would get a kick out viewing it again... I think the tank was either '03 or '04...

The shirt that's being held up is from the first UVI, in June 2001.

Tommy, Capt Pat is correct. Two different years and shows. But both were fun.

BTW, the art work on the tank...was done by Bruce & Capt. Patrick.

You're right DQ, the tank pic was uploaded to the server on 11/01/2006, couple of days after the show...

That was the original tank out of my repower of the Time Machine so the time frame is correct.

The Judge looks like a teenager in the pic and I love the 70's porn mustache DQ.

Good times, it sucks to get old and not hear from many of those same guys much anymore.

Time for a party somewhere before we all go.

Last one left, turn off the B31.com lights on your way out the door........

Geezzzz...we sho' look young.....da Judge retired last Friday, talked to him a long time. He's gonna continue to judge on a part time basis around Texas. Snow is real sick with cancer but hanging in there. Ric is still fat. The guy in the blue shirt helping Norberto with his laptop is an Italian Feretti Group VP......Guido? Norberto was showing us pix of his B31 with totally chrome plated Cat 3208s....he was prouder of it than the $4 million new Bertram clorox bottles. The visit was after the word got around that Bertram was not showing the Faithful proper respect. Mike Ohlstein made all the UVI shirts and they are famous world wide, even been in a Japanese boating mag. There is now one framed at TSL.

Yeah, let's have a party, when & where?

UV,
Your memory is correct my friend as y'all bounced on them at the bar later that night as they shunned us the day before @ the show and the next day they had the red carpet rolled out for us. It was great.

Yep, as I recall we had a little chat with Mr. Don Jones at the Yanmar party about showing some respect and hi-dollar beers.
