Post by In Memory Walter K »

It's coming to gift time. If any of the bretheren want to purchase one of my "Captain's Cookbooks" for $24.95+$3.13 for shipping in the U.S., I'll send $10 for each book sold to Captain Patrick for the site. I'll be glad to personalize them to anyone you wish. Makes a great Stomach Stuffer for any seafood lover! The books get shipped "Book Rate" (the least expensive way), so the sooner the better! Walter

Gents,
This is a terrific book. As one who loves to cook I have found Walter's book invaluable for the seafood lover in me. The recipes were collected from captains around the country and have short stories about each of them. It is richly illustrated so that even non-cooks can do the deeds. If not for a gift get it for yourself. You'll love it.

Tailhook Tom- Please send me your mailing address. The books are usually sent at the Post Offices Book Rate as it is the least expensive way to send them. It's getting close to Christmas and since I don't know where they have to go, should I send them another way to insure delivery by/before Christmas day?

Anyone looking for a gift that will impress look no further. 200+ pages in a hard cover with hand written style print. Recipes plus a short history of the fishing captain that I presume cooks the dish. And pictures of the boats as well. And Walter writes a personal note.

I can't wait to hand these out.I'm hoping for a few dinner invites before New Years.

Tom, your books went out today. The bill will come separately. Ray, got your check. Thank you. Once I get all the payments, it looks like a nice sized donation can go to Captain Patrick for the site, thanks to all of you who purchased. Hope you all liked the book.

Walter:

The books arrived a few minutes ago and they far exceeded expectations! Thanks so much! And, by the way, my sister was so impressed that she asked if she could give the one you autographed for my brother-in-law to him as one of her Christmas presents. Seeing as how they are having me over for the holidays, and, they are also the ones stuck driving me to work while I am still recovering from my car wreck, how could I say no?

You are a true gentleman, and I really appreciate the sentiment in your inscription for mine as well!

Best regards,

Tom

I'm so glad that the Postal Service came through and all the books made it before Christmas! Tom, I was especially worried about yours as they were the last batch I sent out. Glad they were well received by everyone! Although the gift giving season is over, the deal still stands for the bretheren. $10 to the site for every book ordered. Walter
