Bob,
I am not in a position to help him find a job but i would be more then happy to help out with the cost of a plane ticket if one of our southern brothers would put him up for a few days and take him fishing. If a few of us can contribute $50 we can get him round trip flight.

Fortunately Disassembling Landmines is not a highly required resource here in the States...mostly due to young men like your nephew.
I understand our Military trains people for the tasks required to defend and protect our Country...but it would be nice if they could incorporate a
plan to educate them to re-enter society with a job, career...jobs such as what this young man did just don't translate to great careers when they get back. Aside from a Bomb Squad...maybe I'm wrong. I have service men come in for a job way too often. These are people that have zero skills in my field...they need more then a simple production job pays (even with me breaking even) they would still not be able to feed their families and keep a roof overhead. It's just wrong.
Bob,
Can you give me an idea as to what Daniel would like to do, what his qualifications are, where he would like to relocate. My resources are somewhat limited to the Tri-borough Area...but if he was a close match to someone I know...I'd give a call and ask if there was an opening. He may not get a job from my call, but at least it may be a leg up on the competition.
Carl
Please thank him and his family for their sacrifices, I'm very happy that this nation is finally recognizing these citizens for the special job they do for us 24/7/365! I do hope he gets some help IMMEDIATELY to re-adjust back to civilian life, please tell him not to wait until something bad happens, re-adjusting is not always easy.
My son did 2 tours in iraq and is still in the Army, 9 years and going strong. He is one of the lucky ones who wasn't profoundly affected by the war, I guess living his whole life in the military (I'm retired USAF) helped him in some way.
We'll be spending Christmas and New Year's with him and his family up in Aberdeen, MD, if some of the faithful are close please let me know to try and meet.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all, and may all our warriors return home safe and sound very soon.
