Anyone ever thought of installing a Keel

Has anyone ever tossed the idea around of adding a keel to boat that is prone to rolling.

I remember an old timer years ago suggesting it to me for my B28's snap roll but never thought too much about it.

Would it help?

I know it would increase the draft but it could be worth it.....

What would it do at 26 knots? In 6' waves. Coming in an inlet. Maybe better to get some "Rocker Stoppers"!!

If you want a keel boat buy an old stub keel Hatt or a sail boat, just think of all the rolling as automatic jigging. Don't start the flopper stopper discussion again, I think I'm going to puke.

Harry - a smaller version of those mushroom shaped metal things the shrimpers hang from the ends of their net outriggers to dampen the rocking of the boat an rest.
