Easiest way to cut fuel fill hose 1.5"

Every time I have cut this stuff in the past, I have masacred it.

I'm sure there is a trick or an easy way to cut this to length.

With some luck I'll be cutting later this week to install the new tank on my B20 project.

I use masking tape to wrap the circumference where I want to cut and use a high speed angle grinder with a thin kerf metal cutting disk and just follow the tape line. Leaves a nice even cut.

After cutting, pull the reinforcing wire out as far as it will go and cut it flush with the edge of the hose. That leaves no wire showing and makes starting the hose onto the fitting easier.

You can do the same thing with a hacksaw if you don't have the grinder & thin disk...

Many thanks. Only cutting blade I have for the grinder is a diamond blade for cutting fiberglass.

I can pick up a blade cheap though...
