Well, yesterday sucked actually where I was. Slept 'till 10, that was the best part of the day. Liz wanted to fish badly. Good news! I bought green crabs Saturday. Paid $20 for the same amount I bought two weeks ago for $9. Don't ask. Went out to a spot that was highly recommended. Out of the channel I might add. First crab down we get passed by a 42' Post about 100' away moving at cruise. Spun us sideways and pushed us about 30 degrees to the anchor. 3rd wake rips us free. Anchor bent to shit, the main shaft at a 30 plus degree angle to the rest of the anchor. So much for that. So we head back for the spare in the garage. I was excited, it was 2 pm, still plenty of time, grab the fortress spare, and it is frigging so light it practically floats. Yes it was blowing 25 knots or so, but still... Couldn't get the anchor to sink!!!! I know, but there is plenty of chain with the steel anchor. So I give up. We drive to the bait place by boat, and give him his damned crabs back, and head for the barn. Then Liz hit a deer on the way home last night. Good news, no one was hurt but the deer. Overall, bummer of a day. I think I would rather have been at work...
