Port Eads news
Just spoke with Kipp Creed who said he's spent the last several days ferrying two archologists to Port Eads in his B31 so they can do a study of any potential historical artifacts prior to the start of the rebuild of the place......SO ITS GONNA HAPPEN!
When is up in the air, but the FEMA money is there and Kipp saw the plans for the new Port Eads.
The only artifacs they found were some old UVI shirts, two strange bottles marked "The Fatal Shot", some undersized grouper skeletons, about 75 spiney lobster heads, and 5 goats baying "Timmmmmmy, Timmmmmmmmy".......
The UVI will return, Faithful.
Thanks, Kipp.

Vic forgot to mention that the archeologist also found the skeleton of a 300 lb blue marlin(minus the bill that hangs in my camp in Venice). That was Targeted Species' first UVI,and the blue(1st on the boat)died in the fight. We debated about bringing it back into Port Eads. Worried about this group condemning us for killing it. Were we WRONG. Only negative comment we got was"why didn't you fillet it out for smoking". Felt a whole lot better about the fish, and my decision to steward a B31. We will be back and gunning for 2nd place.

I sure hate to put a damper on the rum celebration but I fear Port Eads is slipping away forever:

The first thing they do is historical survey, then endangered species survey, then they build the fence.

I'm not sure but indecision may or may not be my problem.
