Too bad Obummer won't fund it! He thinks we don't need air superiority!

Two months to midterm elections!

Maybe them folk putting up a "Center" two blocks from the World Trade Center site. I say center but more of a Trophy...

How about Iran going with Nuclear Power...big step towards Nuclear weapons.

We fought Russia for years in the Cold War...not sure about where you live...but we have more then our share here...and not giving back tot he community either, rather taking...so who won? Whos' getting screwed?

Don't have to fight our Milliliter to be screwing with us...

I did the advertising for Japan Air Lines for 15 years back in the 80's and early 90's. I spent many days and nights in conversations about WWII with men who were either in it or were kids in Japan preparing for our invasion. In the words of a Japan Air Lines executive..."we were told that as long as there was one stick of bamboo available, we should grab it and run to impale the enemy. No one ever told us about B-29s!". Anyone who questions the importance of air superiority, has no understanding of what war is. Ask anyone who was at Bastogne!

Technology is not the answer. If it was, we would have been done with Iraq and Afganistan within weeks.

Simplified IED's made with basic components continue to kill American soldiers.

Conventional warfare like WWII is no more. Nobody has the stomach for it.

Bruce hit the nail on the head.

We without any doubt have the greatest technology in the world. The problem is that we dont have anyone to use it against (unless China gets crazy and then we are in some trouble).

The enemy that we are fighting today hides amoung the people. We saw this in Vietnam and in the modern battles.

We had operation linebacker and arclight in vietnam where the B52 had unrestricted bombing for a few short weeks. We bombed them to the negotiating tables. The same thing with the B29 fire bombing over Tokyo in 1945. We killed more people in the firing bombing of Japan then the atomic bomb.

We just dont have the will to kill hundreds of thousands in single shots anymore. We now fight with are hands tied behind our back as the enemy hides amoung the civilians.
