less than 3/8" hole repair

Post by Rocky »

So I removed a 3/8" bolt that was not used below waterline on transom and need to know the best way to fill this small hole. I do know on LARGER holes you must dish both sides out 12 times TH. of hull in diameter, but is this nessessary for such a small one? Thickened epoxy O.K.? Thanks guys, sorry I havn't been chatt'n, I miss talkin to ya!

Countersink the hole, both sides if posible, over pack with any epoxy compound, (kneadable stick epoxy is good), let it cure for a couple of days and sand flush.

Thank you Capt., sounds like it's still a "rivet", but smaller scale. Thanks!
