Injured?
Glad to hear it, Patrick. I was intending to ask, if I didn't hear something soon. I had a cut-off disc on an angle grinder explode on me a couple of weeks ago, took a pretty good gash to the wrist. Actually had another one go the next day, but the projectiles missed me. I guess I do stupid things in two's, like having two batteries explode on me in one weekend! My cut obviously wasn't as bad as yours, but I've been trying to use the sawzall instead of the grinder ever since. Like the old song went about Flying Saucers - "I'm sorta scared of those things, ain't you?"

I do have a re-found appreciation for those little buzz saws, but like falling off a horse, ya' gotta' just dust off and get back on..."I'm sorta scared of those things, ain't you?"
In the early stages of a project boat, my favorite and most used tools are disc grinder, sawsall, & 3 lb machinist sledge. And when it comes to welding, an angle grinder is maybe as important as the welder itself.
Thinkin' about welding me up a pair of steel gauntlets...
