Neat. The ultimate tribute to the 31 Bertram. But I not sure about the advertised 7,800 lbs vs the advertised 31 weight of 11,000lbs. That's just me, I like a heavier boat because they just ride better.
Light weight has been the Holy grail for the last 20 years because it equates to speed and speed sells. But the ride is always better in a heavy weight (not that the REAL 31's are heavy)
I know I have a differnt view of weight & speed than "John Q boat buyer". I'm just not in a big hurry, I like everything about a day on the water, not just racing from one spot to another. I suppose that explains why I am building a 20kt boat.
