Icom GPS

Post by In Memory Walter K »

My backup Icom GP-360 just crapped out. I sent it back to Icom and they just called me that the main(?) board needs replacing and since it is a discontinued item, no parts are available. I am having it sent back. Does anyone need one for parts OR does anyone have a functioning one they want to get rid of? Walter

Walter, If you haven't already, try eBay. I've had great luck finding odd parts and items there.

Walter,
Mine powers up but the screen is blank or realy dim. I can't see anything on the screen. I am going to take it apart and look inside for a fuse or something. My old garmin 120 died this year too. Time for something new.

If you decide you need a part, let me know. Mine powers up fine. Just lost all my waypoints (why I sent it to them).

My buddy checked out the back light and its not that. He wants a schematic so he can fix it. He is on a quest to fix it. anyone have one that they don't use anymore.

I dug up my old manual and can't believe there is not some sort of schematic in the back. Have you tried googleing the unit? There seem to be people who have all the manuals of dated instruments and there might be a more detailed manual that has a schematic.
