Bahi Mar windows

I have a 1970 Bahia Mar. My cabin side windows are rectangular. I have seen pictures of some Bahias with an almost footballish shaped window (see the Bahia picture from Tropic Star) ... did the windows change at som point or are these an aftermarket modification ?

Bertramp, my 66 has triangle shaped side windows..Im going the hardtop route with fixed windows like Brewster has on the Comorant Princess..like the idea of being in a tank..seen alot of variations of original windows with sweeping curved side windows, I believe Cabreras makes a similar style. I will try to find a picture, I believe Dos AMigos has a custom made windsheild. BH

mine has the original shape but new and fixed windows, if i need air i just open up the side curtains

I was referring to the window that is openable from inside the cabin, not the windshield triangular side window.
Charlie ... did you do a seal of sorts on that side rectangular window ?
Bob ... amazing how similar our boats are. When I bought mine, it was in a shop very similar the picture you posted .... I did a double take !!

the owner before me did all the upgrades complet rip out with the exception of the cabin, iam sure they were bedded with something, iam starting to get a few leaks in the front bottom. , if and when the top side gets refinished ill pull the windshield off and re bed it

those windows are nice and definitely make a boat more modern looking.

Easy to install and are inexpensive. You can get them with no visible screws which is a nice touch. Not having to be at the mercy of someone to custom make them for you is a huge plus.

before and after, makes a boat cleaner looking

just personal preference but i hate those windows. i hate those upright oval windows also and i especially hate those half round windows with fake mullions they use on houses. when it comes to windows i am extremely opinionated.......carry on.

that porthole window looks a million times better real nice fit you did there.robbie sort of reminds me of the scuppers you turn me on to. how can you even compare to stock there are no words ,makes the boat a show piece at the transom.-------------thanks

Bertramp-I hope to fly fish for Bass in your local waters this year from my B-20 Bahia Mar I'm presently repowering. It will be kept in 3-Mile Harbor. Will you be keeping a B-31 in Sag?

Had a B25 Bahia, a 28 FBC and a 31 FBC in Sag at different times, all called BERTRAMP. The 31 Bahia I now have came from Southampton, you may know Bill Clair. I have an old 45 Hatt (Good Bait) in Sag on the town dock (Marine Park) and I'll bring my 21 Whaler up for the warmer weather. My 45 wintered at Montauk Marine Basin two winters ago for the removal of a tower and installation of a hard top.

i purchase a replacement set of scuppers for my boat after the paint job.robbie took one look at them and gave them the thumbs down sigh. he order me a 316 stainless ones from a company called gemlux (sp.?)they look great and fit the contour of the transom perfectly.the material they use for the flap never drys out and closes tight from outside water.maybe robbie has a better picture.

the flap is neoprene.
Gemlux is a great company, they had offered to set me up with a retail POS but I dont have the space or traffic for it, I think they were trying to get into the retail end of it because now they are a major OEM supplier.

Some of their plumbing fittings are unique items that are hard to find elsewhere, their hinge selection is simply awesome as well.
