Calling Roland on SuperMex

Post by Tommy »

Hey Roland,

I know that you are extremely busy as you serve our country in the armed forces, but we've missed you on the Board here. How are things at your new assignment; and how are things with your 31? Did you ever run SuperMex from Tampa to your new location on the Chesapeake?

Tommy,
What have you been doing with all your time now that Island Girl is gone?

Hey Frank,

I guess Roland is deployed somewhere and away from the Board for a while. The guy who bought Island Girl has become a friend, and he sends me emails of his stewardship of her, now named Orca with Monte Carlo as homeport. Even though I'm without a 31, I'm enjoying the Everglades 243 and the skiff, so I'm still spending time on the water. Hope you and the family have faired well over the winter on the Outer Banks (I was on Ocracoke Island this weekend...cold and windy), and I hope we'll have an early spring. Don't forget about the NC Rendezvous the first week of June.

I was trying to get to Ocracoke in Jan. To Duck hunt never made it. I have it on my calender. We'll see.
