Bob,
Great pictures. Where is she located. I've been in love with Rybovich boats for years. Here's a link to their website:

Lots of great photos and also an extensive write up of the boat yards history, all the way back to the 1920's.

That boat is almost the perfect balance of looks, speed, comfort, fishability and storage space you would ever want to have in a boat. What this country needs is more companies that think and build like Rybovitch.I wonder how old that boat is? I have seen some in Montauk over the years that were built in the 60's that still are knockouts. Walter
walterk the rybo is a 1957 rybo that was striped down and then the entire boat was glass over with cloth and resin at merrit.then she was painted with awlgrip 2000 . inside has to be the finish cabinetry i have ever seen .no veneers ,well layed out ,manificent teak work.do you want photo`s of inside?

Bob,
Joe and his grandsons take amazing care of Proud Lady. He purchased the boat back in the 1970's and has been the steward since then. It is an amazing sea boat and a true fish raiser. My son caught his first yellowfin on her some twenty five years ago. With regard to JP's comment on the radar, the vessel has a radiation shield inside the flybridge. Protects the people on the bridge but takes out rear radar vision. The Rybovitch Family has been working on a book featuring their boats past and present. This will be a must read for the sportfisherman.

I have admired this boat for many years, I mostly see in docked at Canoe Place in the summer.
Don't see too many Rybo's around these parts.
Just curious Bob, what power does she have?
Out in Montauk there is a 36 footer called CIRCE, don't think it is kept as nice but I perfer the smaller size. Perfect day boat with open bulkhead.

craig she has east end marine detroit power. hand built like a race motor with non stock components .not a drop of oil in engine compartment, you could eat off the bilge under the motors.joe wants only the best that is why she will stay inside heated and dust free for winter .extreme care taken put on 5 cradles with 5 keel supports for no structual stress storage.funny thing is i instagated a war because "c" dock west is converted to all restored rybo, viking.my bertram , egg harbor, etc.we move the wine and cheese carver, sea ray to another dock along with the flower pots, flowered rugs and god knows stupid things people put on the dock -----yes i planted the idea in the owners ear after seeing a gay flag on a sea ray!!!

Bob,
Pat Rybovich, daughter of the famed Tommy Rybovich, is in the final stages of putting together a beautiful coffee table book about all things Rybovich. It's going to be full of stunning photographs of the first 79 Rybovich Yachts, the yard and the people that designed and built them. Here's a link to some sample pages and other Rybovich book information:
http://www.rybovichbook.com/book.html
I already have my order in for a commemorative edition. Pat Rybovich saw the pictures you took of Proud Lady and expressed interest in including them in her book. If you are interested, please contact me @ 504-723-2943. Click on the contents link and there's a great sample of photos. If that picture of Sea Genie II's cockpit does not get the blood flowing, I suspect you're dead.
Thanks,
JR

Wow! What a book. The boats are all true classics! Walter
man i get goose bumps looking at that 1961 vintage underway. joe told me went he took her up from florida he stop in north carolina (intercostal)and the owner of the marina flip out when he saw it and took him to dinner. the boat really stops you in your tracks, incidently joe was referring to a 39' rybo out in montauk when he mention detroit power this 43' has cummins power.when i get a chance i will photo. inside.
