capt. Pat
i have read the building tips and on older post on lay up schedule for the bench seat. But would the schedule for the rudder shelf work just as well? i mean 1708 is some thick heavy stuff, i was really surprised when i saw it at the fiberglass supply
Thanks
Matt

i know i have seen those, i am probably going to copy johns design, hope he doesnt mind!
i guess my dumb question is on this lay up, is the 1708 on the outer side of the panels.. so 1708-wood-1.5oz-wood-1708
Epoxy glass one side of each panel with 1708 biaxle fiberglass cloth. Lay on another layer of 1 1/2 oz chopped strand mat on one of the 2 panels and then flip it face down on the other. This is all done at one time, wet. Not cured between layers...
or is it wood-1708-1.5oz-1708-wood
and should you use the 1.5oz strand or the 24oz roving like on rudder box
Thanks Matt
