Teak Wood Filler

I am looking to fix a ding in teak using a combination of resin, hardner and teak sawdust. Does anyone know how to make this mix? Further, if cabosil/silica is added and if 205 or 207 hardner should be used? I saw this done by an old time captain years ago and the results were great.

Harry,

Straight teak dust and epoxy will be so dark as to almost be black. Use teak dust, epoxy, and 210 Microlite. Experiment with the mix until you get the color you're after. Choice of hardener is only dependant on your ambiant temperature and how fast or slow you want it to kick.

Thanks for the prompt reply. The microlight is the secret to lightning the color. I am going to use the 105 & 207 resin/hardner to seal the finished teak per your previous instructions and varnish over for UV protection. Another project to make the cold months in the northeast pass.
