Piranha Fish caught in Perdido Bay

Post by Capt. DQ »

Well, with all these people buying Exotic fish & snakes and then they get tired of them and start throwing them out into the wild. No wonder these damn things start showing up in places where they aren't suppose to be. There art to be a law against sales of exotic fish & animals in pet stores. How would you like to be swimming with this flesh eater.

Unenforceable laws equate to no laws at all. Just makes the legislators feel good. The State just legislated a salt water license on us. Thousands of fishermen come to the Montauk and all the Hamptons areas to do just that. If there are a total of 10-15 DEC and local marine patrol officers for the whole county, I'd be surprised. It's a joke but we're not finding it very funny.
