Last night at one of this country's most historic and beautiful churches (Christchurch in Lancaster County, Virginia) J. Rawleigh Simmons married Susan Gaskins Faulkner. Following the wedding the reception with sit-down dinner and dancing was held at Celebration, a 19th century manor house overlooking the Rappahannock River. The Robert O Norris bridge over that river may be seen in the background of one photo, if you can take your eyes off the bride.
These two lived in the same area and grew up doors apart and never met. One night at a local watering hole several of Susan's friends proposed a meeting between the two. They described Rawleigh to Susan and she still agreed to go out with him. Later as they are leaving the bar they spotted Rawleigh at another table and the rest, as the say, is history.
and she loves the Bertram!

Kinda makes you wonder what sort of dirt he's got on her family, that they had to sell their daughter into slavery.......

In the words of Charlie Sheen,
As long as I got someone to clean my house and some action on a regular basis, I don't need a wife unless I have a sick notion to give away half my crap.
Congrats.

Congrats Rawleigh, marriage is so much fun I've done it twice!
