Need help Bertram 54

Post by Hueso »

My best friend has a 1987 Bertram 54 with twin 12v92 Detroit Diesel and he needs the throtle and clutch cables (4).

What is the length of those cables, where can he find them, any good brand?

tell him to look by the end of the cables on the outer sheath for the length.

Also if the boat has a syncronizer there will be second shorter cable on the slave engine for the throttle.

As usual, excellent advise Bruce. It does has a synchronizer. Any providers? Approximate price? in order to have an idea where to start.

Thanks in advance.

If you want to keep price reasonable go with the Morse 33C supreme cables for a single station.

Price depends on length, without that its hard to guess. a 25' is around 80 bucks.

If you have multiple stations or a tower then a better brand of cable can be had for less friction but the price can go up quite a bit.

Any marine internet site should have them. Go with a company you've used before.
