B28 Replacing Norcold DE541 with Isotherm Cruise 130

Post by Bayside Bert28 »

I'm planning to replace my Norcold DE541 fridge on my B28 with an Isotherm Cruise 130. I have heard great things about the Isotherm such as extremely low power consumption from the Danfoss compressor while on 12V ... the ASU which retains the cooling for a long time after the engines are shut off etc.

Has anybody made this change on a B28?

I know why the Norcold is not often replaced ... it's about 6-8 inches wider than my cabin door!

Since I'm planning some significant work this fall where I will be replacing the entire rear door and window area, I figure it's a good time to switch out the Norcold for an Isotherm 130.

Try removing the Norcold's door at the hinges. Walter
