Bob- Heading to the western entrance from Midway G1 bouy, the course should be 36 degrees true, 51 degrees magnetic from the chart I have. I will punch in the numbers into my GPS and trust it's guidance, still looking at the compass and my radar as we have had fog banks moving in and out around the point recently. Walter

i charted it with 15degrees variation and .004 deviation and come up with 39 degrees true from old green#1 bouy at great eastern to western entrance point judith were did i go wrong ?i am concerned with the fog and may not be at the wheel .depending on others to look for a purple dot on the radar overview of gps gets me nervous .

Bob, I am sure your calculation is more correct than mine as I am working from an old paper NOAA chart. Given a 3 degree difference on our True calculations, a chartplotter GPS and a radar, I don't think we have too much to worry about.
