6BTA 270s? Those chrome valve covers are good for an extra knot or two.....nice engines. Subtle differences from my 6BTA 250s.

John, Nice job...did you fab up the engine beds? What gears and ratios are you running? Nothing like knowing the engines are in and you are another step closer. BH

You gonna love the way those Cummins, they make the boat run great compared to gas engines. Looks great! Here's my 89model 250's.

John,

I have stainless steel elbows and the port side is the one you are asking about. I had a welder cut and modifiy the angle on that elbow and its still a little tight but works fine. The other option is to do a angle up & over the back of the engine to the portside and down then back.

The other option is to do a angle up & over the back of the engine to the portside and down then back.
Or, as Harry Babb and some others have done, turn the turbo 180º to face the outboard side...
