Cummins B 5.9 210 Air Filter

Post by STeveZ »

The filters that came with the boat are rough. I know there are lots of high end "systems" out there, but I would just as soon replace them in-kind. The current filters are pleated paper with a plastic end cap on one end and a rubber boot on the engine side. Would any auto parts store be able to match me up? Do I need to go to Cummins?

Steve - get the S&B filters thru Tony Athens at Seaboard Marine in CA....they are like K&N but better made and last forever - just need cleaning and re oiling every 1,000 hours or so. Mine for the 6Bs cost about $75 each and are a no brainer vs. the paper ones that last a year at best before they waterlog.
