Whats the best method of polishing nibral props--should it be done?

I have found the 4" "scrubby" type pads that come with a hook/velcro back that fit on to a Makita grinder polishes them up nicely without any heavy abbrasion. You'll probably need a few pads to do a pair of props and shafts.

If you like shiny props knock yourself out.

What WalterK said would work just fine.

Personally, I de-crud the wheel hubs, rudders and shafts with a wire wheel mounted on a drill. Maybe on a good day I'll run some emery strips over the shafts to spiff them up after I cleans the Zinc area.

Muriatic acid. Works well and lots less effort than wirebrushing. Final clean-up with a wire brush.
