Raw water sea strainers

Could some one tell me the differance in sea water strainers. I found some that have bronze rods on the out side that secure the bowl, others the bowl just screws into the bronze base. I need 1 1/4 strainers ,can someone point me in the right direction.

If i pointed you in any direction it would be to scrap those strainers all together and go with the external scoop style strainer. Less expensive, last longer, less maintance, and take up less room.
