I just found out that he passed from the brain and lung cancer between Christmas and new years.
Tony used to be a commercial roofer and lost the business some time ago but always was a boater.
He had done trips to Tropic Star long before the group here had gone.
He'd talk about fishing all day if you wanted. He worked in the ships store at the marina where I'm at only for insurance and to be around boats.
He used to love to come over to the shop and look at the 31's I was doing and was amazed at what they turned into.
Always nice. Always pleasant and not enough people like him around.
The world just got a little darker.
Pat, Tony Gory passed

Bruce,
We knew that was coming, but it's still a sad day. hearing the news...
Tony and a couple of his buddies chartered me on a boat that I was running down in Mexico, (Hacienda del Mar), and caught his first sailfish with me in '93. Was glad to get to see him again at New Port Cove a few years ago.
Br,
Patrick
