Replacement 'guts' for bow chock / nav lights

The guts of the integeral nav lights in the bow chock for my '63 B25 have been liberally sprayed with CX now.
I'm crossing my fingers that they're still operable.
Even so, the wire is very brittle and the spring in the socket is almosted completely rusted away.
The chock and lens are still in really great shape.
The access caps on top of the chock are there but the fit is loose so I'm going to have to figure out something there too.
I thought I had heard mention sometime ago that replacment parts can be scavenged thru perko or lenco(?).
Can anybody provide detailed info on this?

John,

There should be a gasket between the caps and main body of the chock. If missing, you'll not only have a leaky fit, but loose also. The gasket can be cut from 1/16" rubber or cork.

Contact wires and springs can be replaced by scavanging from similar sockets purchased from an auto supply store. Look closely at how the various parts are assembled & you'll see that field stripping the unit is pretty simple. I've done this on several occassions...

My bow chock has no guts at all. No lens' or sockets. Any help?
Have an idea for a modification but will need red and green LED fixture and bulb to fit. Any clues there?

Going through the same thing. Going to use single 12v LEDs with wire already attached. Build a cluster and change them again in 10,000 hours. Each ligh at under 2 bucks each.
I'll post pictures when its done.

They are hobbiest LED's superbritled.com or something like that. Beats the hell out of paying marine prices.

No guts in mine either. Been trying to figure out how to convert it to LED for about three years. I need to find lenses also. Hopefully you guys know where to get the fix. I do have some nice gasket material though!
