John, Dug, Dan,
Thanks for the kind words. It WAS a happy day selling my boat, but not as happy as buying it. What a boat she was! Not for nothing (as we say here in Rhode Island) are they the best boat ever built.
That last trip we made in October we stayed two nights, did well. First fish to the boat was after a two hour fight on a 130 with 250 lb Jinkai. 500 lb manta ray......saw the gold on the bottom of the spool on the first run. Boy, was I pissed! Thought we had a BIG sword on. Oh, well. Not a bad fall chunking season. Big fat yellowfins.
John, let me know when you plan on coming back to B.I.
Dan, please give me a call before you come out. I'd love to have you over for dinner.
Dug, can't wait for an outing on Alchemy. It'll be a nice change after the chum-smelling storm Petrel!
