Prop shaft toe in or not

Post by Harry Babb »

Do any of you guys know if the propeller shafts should be set parallel to the keel or should they be setup with "toe in" or "toe out"????

Harry,

The shafts should have a toe in configuration, but you can adjust them outboard a slight amount so that the shaft will just skin by the outboard face of the rudders when admidship. That'll come in handy down the line when you have to remove a shaft & don't have to drop the rudder.
