Borg & Beck Damper Plate

Post by gplume »

Well...Have pulled my Borg Warne AS-2-73C tranny and had it rebuilt. (Borg Warner Tranny post not too long ago.) Complete toast inside, so that was the right move. Have hit an impasse. Need a new damper plate for my Cummins V 504 (1972 vintage). Plate is a 6 spring & 6 bolt, with 26 teeth on the input shaft. 13.75" dia. part # stamped on plate is 54736, but cummins X refernce calls it a borg & beck 55539/10. Cummins dwg # is 650445.

Any ideas on sources for damper plates.

Any ideas on work arounds....(found an 8 bolt plate that is close, and am thinking about redrilling it.)

Looking for any advice on finding this relic os a part.

Best Regards

We use Sealand Power out of NJ. 1.800.225.0004 for our customers engine parts, http://sealandpower.com. Not local for you, but for a damper UPS delivers all over.

Ask for Rich, tell him Carl from Staten Island Machine recommended them.
