Hi guys,
I'm looking at buying a 95 Moppie with 454s. Anecdotally, I undertand there should be no tank/ethanol concerns with this vintage. Is this true?
Thanks,
stu

I don't know where your're from, but check out the Ethanol fourm. Concensus seems to be that later tanks are not affected. Over all, the critical issue seems to be that ethanol cleans the varnish and crap left behind from non-ethanol gas. I've got a B35, 1972 and the inside of the tank is clean as a whistle. There is some cracking around the very top of the tank which I suspect is due to 35 years of not holding fuel and drying out.
I am converting to diesel and will be keeping my fg tank.
The B30 95 vintage is a sweet ride and you'll be happy with it.
Post where you boat and we'll let you know if ethanol is an issue.
