Couldn't resist this one!
I have taken the same boat (many other boats too) hundreds of times for the same identical trip over the last, hmmm, 50 years or so.
The sites at the port, the island views, the boat smell and atmosphere are all engraved on my hard disk.
Then, I bought my 28 and almost never been on a liner again...
This short video is exactly what one experiences going to Syros and beyond.

Liners and other people boats for that matter are a nice change of pace where you can sit back and relax. That said, I always find myself up at the helm keeping watch on other peoples boats...so much for the relax part. But on a liner they seem to frown on guests going to the helm...
Once in a while I take the Staten Island Ferry to Manhatten...funny even on that I have a hard time not going outside or to a window and watching the water go by, watching the wake....the other boats going by...fishing.
Nice video, thanks for sharing

Looks like the crowds get crazy. That is a large ferry compared to what we use.

Crowds? You must be joking...
This boat was 25% full...in the summer you easily see 3-400 people exiting the ramp in Syros, which is NOT a touristic island, as opposed to the 50 seen here.
Greece has a population of 10 million and in 2019 was visited by 20 million tourists...most of these people travel with ferries like this one, or the fast jets.

...anything more than 5 people is a crowd.
