454 Series 72 Mercruiser - Which Engine Counter Rotates?

Guys,

Which engine - port or starboard - counter rotates on 1978 454 Series 72 Mercruisers? Replacing both starters with Arco Marine starters and want to ensure I don't do something stupid.

It is usually the stb engine as most boats have the props spin port ccw and stb, cw.

Performance applications some times have the props spin opposite or toward one another. Better speed but less boat control.
