Guys,

Where can I get a new starter online for my 1978 454 Mercruiser Series 72 engines? What model starter do I need and are the starters for the Series 72 engines specific to the port/starboard engine?

Rh and Lh ratation starters are different.

DB electric has good prices on starters and alternators.

Ordered two new starters from Arco Marine. Pretty amazing guys over there. Shot them pictures of my starters and they immediately identified them as Delco 10 MT Series used from the 1950's into the 1990's. That transitioned to the Delco 14 MT Series

Arco Marine's 14 MT Series replacement for the Bertram 31's 454 Series 72 engines are one Arco #30456 ($271) and one #30457 ($275).
