Hey guys. Sorry for the delay. I've been preoccupied.

Man O War took a direct hit yesterday along with Marsh Harbour and Elbow Cay. Man O War is just North of them a few miles. The eye went over at top speed.
The reports I'm getting are that some houses are just "gone". Some houses lost their roofs. And if you're lucky you just have roof damage.
Not sure how much surge we got. I think Grand Bahama got some bad surge, as did Marsh Harbour, and most likely Green Turtle.

I'm preparing for the worst.

The 31 is here in FL hoisted high on the lift in Ocean Ridge (Boynton Beach) with Swingstoppers and Stormstraps. It's a nice add on. Photos are from close to high tide today. So it looks like we have about 2' surge here in FL.

I had purchased Tommy's brother's 20' Sportsman and it's on Man O War along with my two old classic Boston Whalers, a 13 and 16. All three were in the yard at Edwin's boatyard. I suspect they have been strewn about at best. Not much you can do vs 200mph wind.

I may run the boat over next week with roof tarps and other supplies. I'd want to bring my own extra diesel to get back. I suspect the infrastructure of any type would not be functioning. Pics I've seen look like a bomb went off. It may not even be wise to go in there and just let the Coast Guard do their thing. I'll know more in a few days I suspect.

Glad you ssre safe. As far as going in by boat, be careful their might be a car or even a house hidden under water in what was zz clear channel. That was the issue up here after Sandy. Sunken boats, some cars and a ton of other gsrbage.

You definitely have every right to be preoccupied...still glad you checked in to let us know your ok.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best... a lousy cliche, but its all I can come up with at times like this.

MOW house came through real good. We found video on YouTube last night and we gained about 5 sailboats in the yard. But all structures are in tact with some shingles missing.
The old house on Elbow Cay, not so good. Entire roof and top floor were cut off and gone.
I should play the lottery this week.

Friend of mine I hear wasn't so lucky, from what I understand he lost the house and boat in Marsh Harbor...but he made it through.
Why he chose to stay...I don't know.

He has yet to replace the motors in his boat up here from going down in Sandy.
