I have done this. I used license plate lights from Super Bright LEDS. I had to use big flat washers. The problem I have with led’s is the very small wire size. Pain in the azz to work with.

You should be able to purchase just the bulb to fit in the existing socket. If you pull out the existing bulb and get the number off of it and take it to a marine supply that sells LED bulbs, they can match it out for you. In fact you should be able to match it up at any NAPA or Autozone also.

If you replaced the socket, then it should be if memory serves me correctly an 1156 or 1157 bulb. Unfortunately I have not seen a full replacement LED that would work in our set up. I usually replace the sockets when they get corroded, then put in new bulbs.

Tony you are correct it would be a single element 1156. I did not use stock light sockets it is custom. So yes not a direct replacement. Sorry for the confusion.

What about this:

https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... gIK7fD_BwE

It uses the stock size bulb cover and is 360 degree light. It may fit the original small anchor light as well!

Jack

Not sure such a product exists right now. You will really need to go back to a socket and bulb set up. Not sure what you did to customize the light. How about posting a picture, maybe someone will have an alternative for you.
